Providing income generation stability for livestock owners in Ash-Shahil, Al-Hawayej and Diban villages.

Project duration: four months

Target area: Al-Jardi al-Sharqi and Al-Jardi al-Gharbi towns

The project began on 05/08/2020 and ended on 05/12/2020, and targeted 600 livestock breeders. It provided enterotoxemia vaccines, internal and external parasites and smallpox treatment, and service of planting green forages (alfalfa) for 300 beneficiaries in the three villages through tilling 3 dunums of land and distributing phosphate fertilizer, alfalfa seeds and pesticides for each beneficiary. So 900 dunums of land were tilled and supplies were provided like the following:

In Ash-Shahil city: 510 dunums of land was planted with alfalfa. And beneficiaries received all the needed agricultural supplies.

In Al-Hawayej town: 420 dunums of land was planted with alfalfa. And beneficiaries received all the needed agricultural supplies.

In Diban town: 420 dunums of land was planted with alfalfa. And beneficiaries received all the needed agricultural supplies.

The livestock vaccinated in this project:

  •  Cows: 3712
  •  Sheep: 55084
  •  Goats: 3277

Sam held several guidance sessions about the vaccination, and distributed brochures to raise awareness against Covid 19.
